XDefiant release date: when is the game coming out?

XDefiant, formerly known as Tom Clancy's XDefiant, is a free-to-play FPS game announced for 2021 and will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One. The game published by Ubisoft was played by some players during a beta in 2021 in the US and Canada.

The game is still in development and numerous test phases have been carried out allowing players to test the game before its official release. But then, if it could be tested by players, when is the game coming out? We tell you in this article!

What is the release date of XDefiant?

For the moment, the release date is not yet known. However, according to Ubisoft, the game should be released this year (2023). While waiting for the release, here is what you need to know about the game: 

XDefiant features a 6 vs 6 arena mode, which brings together characters from different factions for players to choose from. Each character has unique skills, which means you have to strategise with your team to win in the various maps and game modes XDefiant offers.

Currently, the game offers you the choice between 5 factions: Libertad, Phantoms, Echelon, Cleaners and DedSec.

There are different maps and modes : 

• Arena modes : Teams compete in arena-style maps, battling for territorial control in Domination and Occupy modes, with more modes to come at launch.
• Linear modes : Attackers and defenders contest shifting objective points in Zone Control, and push a package in Escort.

XDefiant features diverse locations from popular Ubisoft worlds alongside all-new original maps.
