Fortnite update 21.20 for Tuesday 5 July 2022, why no patch ?
Since the launch of the new season of Fortnite, updates have been pretty regular to the game. They usually take place every other Tuesday, bringing a lot of new features to Fortnite for all players. Currently, patch 21.10 is being applied in the game, and patch 21.20 should follow soon !
But when exactly ? Logically, the update should have taken place this Tuesday, July 5th, if we follow Epic Games' usual schedule. But today, no update has been announced, and there is no new patch to download in the game. So there is no update ! Indeed, according to datamancers, the 21.20 patch update should take place this Wednesday, July 6th.
Why hasn't the 21.20 patch arrived on Fortnite this Tuesday, July 05, 2022 ?
This Tuesday, July 5th, no update on Fortnite ! The dates of the Cash Cup were recently changed from July 6th to July 5th, allowing for an update at the same time.
This change would confirm that the next update of the game will take place on Wednesday 6th July ! If this is the case, it will be patch 21.20, the second big patch of this season. It should normally bring several new features to the game, as is the case with every major update.

I completely missed this, but a few days ago Fortnite changed Cash Cup dates from July 6 to July 5 due to "expected game updates around the same time"
Basically confirms that the update will drop on July 6.
As a reminder, new challenges will still be available this Tuesday, July 5th from 3pm ! This will be the continuation of the "Relax" quests which are released in several parts. The next challenges will be available this Thursday, July 7th at 3pm, as every week.
