Fortnite x Secret Lair collab, first preview at the cards and release date

Lately, Magic the Gathering has been multiplying its collaborations with pop culture monsters. While an official expansion saw the Dungeons & Dragons universe arrive on Magic, some of them allowed to find cards already well known in the game under other names and visuals.

Indeed, Secret Lair regularly collaborates with certain artists or well-known works such as The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Street Fighter. The website works as a "drop" of collaborations around different themes. This time, it is with Fortnite that a collaboration is being created. Let's find out more !

What about the new collaboration between Fortnite and Secret Lair ? What will the cards look like ?

This time, it will be the world of Fornite that will be honoured, with maps that take up well-known elements of the Epic Games game. We will find Shrinking Storm, Supply Lama, Dance Battle, Battle Bus, Crack the Vault, Battle Royale and The Cube. As you can see in this tweet, Fortnite cards are set to release 21st July !

Terrain will be available with visuals from the Fortnite map, but also maps that will use existing spells and creatures.

Finally, here are the spell and creature cards that will have a brand new Fortnite look, which are reinterpretations of cards from previous Magic the Gathering expansions.

For example, the Battle Bus incorporates Fortnite's famous bus into Magic cards, but simply takes the concept of the Smuggler's Copter. The same goes for the other cards in the collaboration, soon to be available on Secret Lair (source).
